Health IT Outcomes invited Thirdwayv’s Vinay Gokhale to explain an insulin pump vulnerability that was recently flagged by the FDA. A flaw in the pump enabled it to be re-programmed for use with an unauthorized device to create a customized Type 1 diabetes treatment. But the same flaw can be used to hijack these and other connected medical devices.
